The Manifesto Workshop: Creating a Rule of Life

How does one craft a spiritual life in an age of busyness and distraction?

If you’re like most people you
’ve already made your 'New Year's Resolutions", or maybe because you failed to accomplish last year’s goals, you’ve decided to forgo making resolutions this year. The best way to grow spiritually, improve your relationships, live an authentic life, and fulfill your purpose isn’t by merely making resolutions, but rather by prayerfully listening, and discerning, and practicing habits that transform your life, mission, and relationships.

This four day
workshop (can be condensed in to a two day) will take us deep & wide to help us identify & clarify our personal core values. It will help us discern and articulate a vision about who we are and are called to be, what we value most, and will culminate in crafting a personal rule of life that establish practices & rhythms to live more intentionally & more fully into our key roles, important relationships, and our highest priorities.

Life As Metaphor: The Autodrama Workshop

This creativity workshop is centered around an extensive exercise called “The Auto-Drama”, a personal performance project designed to bring the creative artist's biography to the stage.  The exercise affords participants the opportunity to explore their key life experiences, dreams, and sense of purpose/calling in life, while also connecting them to metaphors for life. These “Life Metaphors” are then given creative expression in a 5-10 minute final presentation using any art form the participant wishes; music, dance, drama, photos, poetry, video, etc. The premise is that all art is autobiographical, and the goal is to help artists, performers, and creative people in general who are looking to reconnect with or deepen their creative expression, learn how their own life narratives can be utilized to create something beautiful and impactful: "All art is autobiographical; the pearl is the oyster's autobiography." - Federico Fellini

Silent Retreat: Invitation to Rest & Reflection

A half day guided retreat. Dates and description coming soon.

SPIRITUAL DIRECTION

A spiritual director walks alongside others as they seek to deepen their relationship and intimacy with God. Learning to discern his voice and direction, we explore questions like: "Who is God? How can I discern God's voice? How will I be transformed as I grow in relationship with God?" People may go to a therapist seeking help with emotional or mental burdens, or they may need help with building intimacy in their marriages. A spiritual director, however, focuses on a person's relationship with God, helping them move toward greater intimacy with God. Spiritual direction can be a safe place of exploration for those who feel displaced from the church, or disconnected from God.
